Aggie (Yasuko Tomita) is left all alone in the world after her mother passes away, so her mother's hairdresser (Jordan Chan) and his "mom" (Law Kar-Ying) take her into their home. Eventually, she comes out of her speechless mourning and begins living in the real world again, forming a bond with Jordan, but refusing to enter into a relationship. Soon, Jordan must deal with his own crisis, and it is Aggie's turn to provide support. It's a leisurely-paced, dreamlike movie with nice visuals. The cast is uniformly solid, but the plotting seems to drift without purpose. References are made to Aggie's love of the kitchen and fixation with scents, and Jordan's demand for loyalty in a relationship, but these elements are never developed.
