Following the success of Train Man, director Murakami Shosuke (sometimes credited as Murakami Masanori) teams up with actress Nakatani Miki once more for a perfectly romantic holiday outing. Adapted from a Yoshida Shuichi novel, 24/7 Dori no Christmas (a.k.a. Christmas on July 24th Avenue) is everything you can expect from a Christmas romance - crowd-pleasing, heartwarming, full of familiar faces and holiday jingles. Nakatani Miki, who received the Japan Academy Awards Best Actress trophy in 2007 for Memories of Matsuko, takes her whimsical acting to a lighter film opposite Osawa Takao (Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World). The leads are supported by an all-star line-up of actors including Sato Ryuta (Limit of Love Umizaru), YOU (Nobody Knows), Abe Tsuyoshi (Rough), and Ueno Juri (Summertime Machine Blues). Fluffy but enjoyable, 24/7 Dori No Christmas makes an ideal romantic pick for Christmas or any other time of the year. Hopeless romantic Sayuri (Nakatani Miki) likes to imagines herself as a shojo heroine about to meet her Prince Charming. He'll sweep her off her feet and bring her to the most perfect place - July 24th Avenue in Lisbon, Portuqal. In reality, the clumsy, homely Sayuri is a typical office worker residing in seaside Nagasaki, far from Lisbon and even farther from romance. As Christmas nears, she can't help feeling a bit lonely as everyone else pairs up. When she runs into her high school crush Satoshi (Osawa Takao), who has just returned from Tokyo, Sayuri decides that this time, she can't let love pass her by. Can she create her own miracle on 24th Avenue?
